Pool Excavation
Pool excavation in Bundaberg and Bargara, cut to your pool builder’s drawings. Deal directly with the owner-operator for the dig, spoil removal and a tidy handover.
QES handles the pool excavation component only — from the first dig-out to spoil removal — and leaves a clean, access-ready site for your pool builder. Every pool dig across Bundaberg and Bargara is quoted after a free site visit and operated by the owner.
Available by agreement: fill or topsoil delivery.
We assess access, ground conditions, spoil handling and the proposed pool set-out before quoting.
A good site visit avoids surprises on dig day.
We confirm the details so everything is ready to go.
Your quote & next steps
Every pool excavation is quoted individually after a free site visit, with the scope confirmed in writing.
Tell us the site address, your preferred timing and share any available pool drawings.
We assess the site with you or your pool builder before preparing the quote.
Review the written quote. Once accepted, we agree a dig date around your pool builder’s schedule.
We complete the agreed excavation, manage the spoil and leave the work area tidy.
The price moves with the pool’s size and depth, how much spoil is carted away and how far, whether we hit rock or wet sand, and how easy the access is. That is why we quote after a free site visit rather than guessing. Call 0480 126 549 and we will come out, look at the block and give you a price that reflects the actual job.
Our 5.5 tonne excavator needs more room than a mini excavator, so we measure the clear opening, overhead clearance and the route to the pool at the free site visit. If it will fit, we tell you what, if anything, needs protecting or temporarily removing. If the access is too narrow, we tell you then — before dig day, not on it — because a smaller machine may suit that job better.
A standard residential pool dig is typically completed in one day, depending on size, depth, access and ground conditions. Tight access or rock can add time. We confirm the timeframe at the free site visit so you and your pool builder can plan around it.
Our own 10 tonne tipper carts it. If fill can be reused on your block — for levelling or landscaping — we spread or stockpile it where you want it. Otherwise it is loaded and removed, usually the same day, so you aren’t left with a mountain of spoil beside the hole.
We only do the excavation. The pool builder supplies and installs the shell, plumbing, electrical and fencing. We dig to their drawings and hand the site back ready for them — most of our pool work comes through pool builders for exactly that reason. The same crew also prepares house and shed pads and driveways, often on the same block.
Yes. We dig to your drawings, agree the dig date around your program, cart spoil the same day where possible and leave the site ready for the shell. We are happy to quote a single dig alongside your regular operator so you can compare the work — see how we work with builders. Homeowners can also book us directly — we will just want the pool builder’s drawings first.
The site address, the pool builder’s drawings or dig sheet (shape, depth and position on the block), photos of the side access and of where a truck can park, the pool installation date, and anything you know about lines under the yard — irrigation, stormwater or old pool plumbing. Tell us too whether any of the soil can stay on the block. Photos and PDF drawings can be uploaded with the quote form.
Rock and groundwater change a pool dig more than anything else. We look for signs of both at the site visit — exposed rock, a sloping block, low-lying sandy ground near the coast — and the quote says how they will be handled. If something turns up that nobody could see, we stop and talk it through with you and your pool builder before carrying on.
Yes. Pool digs across the Bundaberg region are part of our service area — Bundaberg, Bargara and the coast, Gin Gin, Childers and Woodgate. Tell us the suburb and your pool builder’s installation date through the quote form and we will confirm when the dig can be booked.
Yes. Queensland’s building regulator (QBCC) says you must have building approval from council or a private certifier before building a pool, and in most cases the pool builder arranges it. We dig once the approved drawings are in hand — we don’t arrange the approval ourselves.
